Hotel Friends stands 500 metres from the Gondola and a 10-minute walk from the centre of Bansko, at 2 Rayna Knyaginya Street. The distance to the lift is an easy walk — ski boots and all.

The hotel offers double rooms, studios and apartments. Every room has a television, a mini bar, a telephone, wireless internet, a wardrobe, a desk and a bathroom with a shower cabin, as well as sound-insulated windows and doors. The rooms stay warm all winter and there is hot water at any hour — the two things guests mention most often in their reviews.

Eating at the hotel

Breakfast is included in the rate and served as a buffet — guests single it out as one of the strongest things about the hotel. On a half-board package, dinner offers a choice of two or three dishes. For groups of 30 and more we arrange breakfast and dinner on request.

Who the hotel suits

The short walk to the Gondola and the warm rooms make Friends a practical choice for skiers who want to be close to the lift without paying the rates of the hotels right next to it. The apartments, with a separate bedroom and living room, suit families with children and groups of friends; a child up to 6.99 stays free on an extra bed, and a cot is provided at no extra charge subject to availability.

Bansko around you

The old town is within walking distance — Revival-period houses, taverns and the Holy Trinity church. The Gondola carries you up to the Pirin ski area, and in summer it runs for walkers heading to Vihren, the Banderitsa lakes and the Baikushev pine. Bansko is about two hours by car from Sofia.
